The Xteink S4 wallpaper size is 480×800 pixels. Xteink hasn't published the pixel size, but the S4's 4.3-inch screen at 219 ppi matches the X4's 480×800 panel. Unlike the X4 and X3, the S4 runs Android 11, so it takes an ordinary PNG instead of a BMP on an SD card.

3Install

No SD card, no sleep.bmp
The S4 has no microSD slot and doesn't run CrossPoint, so sleep.bmp and the .sleep folder don't apply. Copy the PNG over USB, then set it from Android: open it in a gallery or file app and choose Set as wallpaper, or pick it in the S4's sleep screen setting if your firmware has one.
X4 wallpapers fit

Not sold everywhere yet

Common questions
›Is the Xteink S4 the same size as the X4?
Yes, as far as anyone can tell: both are 4.3 inches at about 219 ppi, which is 480×800. Xteink hasn't published the pixel count for the S4.
›Can I use sleep.bmp on the S4?
No. sleep.bmp is how CrossPoint on the X4 and X3 finds its sleep screen. The S4 runs Android 11 and has no SD card slot; set a PNG from Android instead.
›Does CrossPoint run on the S4?
No. CrossPoint is firmware for the X4, X4 Pro and X3 (and a few other small readers). On the S4 you can install KOReader, Kindle or Kobo apps instead.
›The wallpaper has borders
It isn't 480×800 portrait. Re-make it at that size.
